Dihondra Silver Surfer
Latin name: Dichondra argentea
Light: Sunny to partially sunny locations
Flowering time: Decorative foliage plant (non-flowering)
Height: 5–10 cm (shoots up to ~80–120 cm long)
Description:
Decorative, trailing plant with silvery gray foliage that creates a striking “waterfall” effect in pots and balcony boxes. It highlights other plants in arrangements very well and gives a modern, contrasting look. Ideal as a structural plant together with petunias and other flowering plants.
Care:
Well-drained soil and moderate watering are required—allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. It tolerates heat and drought very well, but does not like overwatering. Regular fertilization promotes faster growth and longer shoots.
